On Abstract Photography and Not Being Like Everyone Else

I’ve always had a distinct sense that I might be different from the people around me. It just seems as if they speak another language that doesn’t fit what I feel and think. One of the reasons I gravitated toward abstract photography is because it resonates so deeply inside me and is an expression of my true self.
I’ve often interacted with individuals or groups of people and they appear to be perfectly content talking about incredibly superficial things while I long for deeper connections. It has always been second nature to me to be comfortable having more nuanced and meaningful conversations. There have been many times when I try to share more significant thoughts with people and they stare at me blankly or look frightened.
I’m a nonconformist at heart because I don’t mindlessly adhere to societal norms or conventions. I do my own thing and live authentically regardless of what other people think or say. What are your thoughts on not being like everyone else?
